At Cwmaman Town Council, we are committed to supporting projects that contribute positively to our community. Through our Grant Awarding Policy, we provide financial assistance to community organisations and individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, improving our environment, providing essential services, and promoting Cwmaman in positive and impactful ways.

Individuals who require assistance to represent our community, county, or country in events or tournaments can also request consideration from the mayor's fund. Please contact the town clerk for more information.

How to Apply for a Grant

Step 1: Expression of Interest

Applications are invited biannually, specifically in June and November.

All interested parties are encouraged to express their interest by contacting the Clerk to the Council, who will provide preliminary information and application forms.

Step 2: Completing Your Application

Complete the application form in detail, answering all questions thoroughly to demonstrate the merit of your request.

Supporting Documents: Attach all required supporting documents, which include but are not limited to:

  • A written constitution or statement of aims for organisations.
  • Full project details or activity descriptions.
  • Evidence of community benefit and need for funding.
  • Financial documents such as previous years' accounts or a detailed budget and business plan for new initiatives.

Step 3: Submission and Review

Ensure that your application and all supporting documents are submitted by the deadlines specified (1st June or 1st November).

The Council will review all applications and may request further information if necessary. This process is aimed at ensuring that all applications meet the criteria and objectives of the grant program.

Step 4: Decision and Notification

Decisions on grant awards are made during Council meetings following the submission deadlines.

All applicants will receive notification of the Council's decision. Successful applicants will also receive details about the funding disbursement and any conditions attached to the use of the funds.

Step 5: Grant Management

Grant recipients are required to manage and account for the funding as per the guidelines provided. Evidence of expenditure must be submitted as requested by the Council.

Recipients may be required to provide progress reports or a final report outlining how the funds were used and the benefits derived from the project or activity.
